Monday Thoughts

Today I am taking a page from

Out my window...
the sun is shining ~ above normal temps in the forecast for today

I am thinking...
I may try and get the living room painted
before Christmas ~ maybe...

I am thankful...
for the brave men and women who have and continue to
fight for my freedom

In the kitchen...
this week's recipe is not new to me
but a favourite that I made yesterday
Sweet & Sour Spaghetti Sauce
recipe to follow...

I am creating...
lists!  I am in Christmas mode
getting ideas of what people want and need

I am going...
to work while most will be home relaxing ~ off for the day
in lieu of Remembrance Day

I am reading...
Don't Blink ~ James Patterson
I just finished Summer Rental by Mary Kay Andrews
and would recommend it ~ great beach read
even in November!

I am looking forward to...
Friday ~ I have the day off

A few plans for the rest of the week...
this week will be low key
compared to the whirlwind I had last week.

Although I do love to get together with the girls
and having a great night of conversation ~ 2 nights out the same week
make for late nights paired with early mornings
and not much done around the house

I planned on going through some things on the week-end and
did get some things purged ~ so that makes me happy

Trev spent Sunday serving at the Veteran's dinner that the
fire department hosts each year.  I was excited to get to go this year
but woke up with a sore back so unfortunately I stayed home
with my pal the heating pad catching up on some tv
and napping!

Hope you had a good week-end!

So many things going on for you Lori ...... sorry to hear that you had a bad back and hope that it's on the mend now.
We had Rememberance Day yesterday and I had my own little two minutes silence. We must never forget all of those brave men and women past and present.
Have a lovely week ...... that spaghetti sauce sounds delicious and so easy to do. I LOVE pasta !! XXXX

I hope your back is feeling much better, Lori - there is nothing worse than back troubles! We too had Veterans Day to remember everyone who has served to secure our freedoms, so very thankful! I am in an experimenting stage in the kitchen this week and two for two so far! Have a fabulous week, lovely lady! xxoo

How about you come cook that pasta sauce recipe for me and we can have a nice long chat over wine together, Lori? Sounds like a deal to me, friend :)
