Friday Potpourri

and hello to Friday
one of my very favourite days of the week

unless I am on vacation of course
then it comes too soon

via

via

for most
March means spring
new beginnings ~ little shoots waking up
after a long cold winter

time to bring out the pretty dresses
and the patio furniture

via
via

here in the northeast it means
another month of snow and cold

it can sometimes be our cruellest month
and it is roaring in like a lion
with another snow event that they predict will stay
all weekend

like a bad house guest that overstays their welcome

via

via

so this weekend I will knock off the last 5 recipes
in my cooking challenge

yes ~ going into March
and will try my cherry rolls again
as I found out the culprit of the failed recipe was the yeast
the wrong kind of yeast

told you I was not a baker!

via

I have a brunch date on Sunday
then I will sit and plan some healthy menus

no more short cuts
get off the couch
finish some projects

March will be a month of doing

via

have you set any goals for the month?

care to share?

Happy Weekend!

Lori - I know EXACTLY what you mean about a house guest who has overstayed. This winter has lasted forever! Made worse by the fact that we got virtually no summer last year either (never ask a Brit about the weather!). So - have a great relaxed weekend, lovely images here, as ever. Lou x

This weekend I am going to pamper myself at a day spa and relax for a bit, then I will take a nice long walk. Other than that, it's a whole lot of house cleaning and laundry! My goal this month is to get out and move, instead of sitting around its been a very stressful time around here and exercising always helps tremendously! Happy weekend, sweet girl! xxoo

I love that 'to do' list Lori. And I've just pinned that gorgeous lemon blueberry cake. I think I'll have to make that soon. I hope you have fun at your brunch, and I know what you mean about the cold weather. Ours is only rain and grayness, but it still dampens the mood when you're preferring sunshine ...happy weekend!
