Quote of the day

The only gift
is a portion of thyself.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

With all the shopping
and wrapping
and running around

I felt it only right
to make this the quote of the day

I try so hard to find something
that is just right
for a recipient

Last night
on hopefully my final trip
to the mall
yes the mall
and after a day from hell
at work
I started out great
and then went into a fog
about an hour in
I wandered
and wheeled my car
in between racks
through the aisles
and finished
yes finished
my shopping.....

Now to gather, sort & wrap
Maybe I will be able
to relax this week-end
and enjoy the tree
and watch

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A wonderful quote indeed...so true! I do feel like I have neglected my friends a bit lately...I've just been so busy...I'll have to make more of an effort to place importance on what really matter...

You're lucky you've finished your shopping!!

A lovely quote, Lori. We should all take a moment to calm down and remember what Christmas is all about.
Everything is dne in excess at this special time. Eating, drinking and present buying, so we need to take stock.
I have done all of my present buying, nearly finished decorating the house and have just got to wrap everything now. It's a lovely feeling when that's done, as we can kick back and enjoy. XXXX

Congrats on finishing up your shopping! I am not even halfway done yet. Then I still have to wrap it all. Ugh!
