Friday Potpourri

The week it was a busy one
but a good busy

I am dreaming of lilacs ~ the trees are starting to bud out
so soon they with leaf up and then I can start my annual hunt!

I am loving the sunshine in this shot ~ not the best place to sleep
if you are not a morning person but look at that light!

a must try recipe ~ will gather the ingredients and try to make them
this pretty.  I will let you know how they turn out.

in my mind these are going to a brightly lit studio
a place for creating

only in my dreams.....

I had the most wonderful birthday
I came home to roses
was taken out to dinner
and spent the rest of the evening relaxing
it was the perfect day

this week-end they are calling for rain
so my outdoor work will be put on hold
so I will see what kind of trouble I can get into indoors!

I could not create a post without saying a personal goodbye
to a legend ~ an icon

what this man did for the music industry was phenominal
I raise my glass to him and say

"Thank You Dick
May you Rest in Peace"

Wishing you a wonderful week-end!

Hi Lori! I"m glad you had a wonderful birthday! I can't believe it but I already have a bouquet of lilacs on the kitchen table. We've had some nice weather! I LOVE the smell, reminds me of my grandpa. :)

So pleased that your birthday was wonderful.
We live in a Victorian house and some of the rooms are a little dark so, I am always a little envious of rooms that have so much light .....but, I love our house and we all have to make compromises !
We have a really old lilac tree at the bottom of the garden....I haven't gone and had a look at it yet so, I must go and see if it is showing any sign of life !!
Have a lovely weekend Lori. XXXX

I am so glad that you had a wonderful birthday, it sure did sound pretty special! I love lilac's too, they are just so gorgeous! I also was sad to hear of Dick Clark's passing - we all grew up with him and all of his shows - he will be missed! Have a fabulous weekend, Lori! xxoo

Happy belated birthday! It sounds like it was my kind of day! Beautiful lilacs...you will have to post yours when they are in bloom!

I was so saddened that Dick Clark passed away. He really made an impact on our lives.

We are having some rain and it is really gloomy. Supposed to go to a cook out tomorrow but it is going to be a cold one! Hope you have a wonderful weekend and let us know if you make those scones!

XO,
Jane

Is that really your bedroom? Holy cow girl I'm so jealous of that space. It's perfect. Can I have your light and those gorgeous lace curtains for just a millisecond? Happy weekend girlie. Today does matter.
