Champagne Wishes

As we wind down the week
we also wind down the year

I always get emotional this time of year
maybe I like hanging onto to the past a little too much
but I am getting better ~ I am

I have my memories and that's all good

tomorrow night is New Years Eve
we usually go out to dinner ~ then back to someone's house
for drinks and fun

this year we are doing something different
meeting for an appetizer supper
"grazing food"
then we are going to a party
at the casino here in town
a couple of bands and a dj
fancy smacy

there are 5 couples and I am looking forward to it

although the crowds and cold would not thrill me
spending one year in NYC would be amazing

so as I say goodbye to 2011
I look back at the year it was
lots of new memories were made
laughter and tears
reconnecting with old friends
and making new ones

wishing you all a
Happy New Year

and I thank you for your comments
your friendship and support.

Hugs & Love

Sounds like a fabulous time! Hope you get to dance and laugh, and bring the new year in with a kiss from your sweetie!

Part of me feels sad to see 2011 go... it went by so quickly, but it has been full of a lot of stress for me (work) and I'm so happy to look forward to 2012, and hopefully some resolution so my entire year isn't a repeat!

Have a beautiful weekend lovely!

Hugs and love to you too,

Mikal

Have a safe and wonderful New Year sweet friend! If you feel a breeze against your cheek it is me blowing you a kiss and wishing more love, happiness and special memories in 2012! Now pass the Asti! I got too much blood in my alcohol system!

I love that first quote - don't tell my kids, but I have been known to dance on a table or two! haha...I too get a bit emotional this time of year, but I do look forward to also moving on to see what the new year will bring. Your evening sounds fabulous. We usually go out, but this year we will be ringing it in at our little pub with our friends for the English New Year - which is 4 pm our time, so we will be relaxing at home in the evening...yippee!! Lots of love and hugs, sweet friend. I am so glad to have "met" you in this wonderfully crazy blogging world! Happy New Year! xxoo

Do you know the source of your last photograph? I'd love to be able to give credit to an idea it inspired in me.

Thanks! Sarah
