Windows , Week-end & a Winner

Wow ~ what a week-end!!

It was fun filled and jam packed

the best way to kick off the summer.

I am going to backtrack a bit though

as my house was upside down most of the week

because of these....

this is what I came home to on Monday night after work
but they are all in ~ but one ~ which was too big
so it is being re-ordered and all is good

so here's what they looked like before

and here is what they look like now

not the best shots in the world ~ but you get the idea

so on Thursday I posted on Facebook that I have the best husband ever
as when I got home from work on Wednesday night
my upsidedown house was almost all
rightsideup...  he had put everything back where it belonged
and vacuumed all through
he IS a good boy!

We kicked the week-end off on Thursday night by going
to the dinner theater.  Always lots of laughs
and a good time was had by all.

Friday we headed to the park for the Canada Day festivities

there were numerous bands playing
and so much going on for the kids

a RCMP strolling the grounds and posing with the kiddies
great photo ops all around

Dominion Dog made an appearance
and loved all the attention she got

unfortunately our afternoon was cut short
as it started to spit rain ~ by the time we got to the car
we were sopping wet and this is what it looked like outside 

needless to say we headed home ~ changed and prayed for
the rain to stop as we had an outdoor concert and fireworks to attend!

well the rain did stop and we had a ball
a free concert is always good and even better when the headliner act
is one of Canada's premier rock bands
April Wine

they put on a fantastic show
and we had a blast dancing and singing along to all our favorites

Tracey, Angie and I go waaaaay back
so it was nice to meet up with them there

Saturday was Sam's 12th birthday
so in keeping with our red & white theme of the week-end

I broke out the salsa and chips
and we had a great afternoon out on the deck

bbq, drinks and family
ahhh ~ perfection

here's the birthday girl with one of her cupcakes
and me with no b/d candles

Sunday was another busy day
road trip for an anniversary party for
Trev's Aunt & Uncle ~ 40 years
open house and sunshine
lots of smiles and laughter.
