Emotional Week

I did not intend to post today
I should be cleaning my house
and doing laundry
and all that fun stuff
but....

I need to write
as it has been a emotional roller coaster
type of week

my Uncle passed away on Tuesday

he was diagnosed with brain cancer
in May

and he is 1000 miles away
so there was no time to see him
and say goodbye
and that makes me sad

Mom did get to see him
she was there for 3 weeks
he received the diagnosis
the day before she came home
so they were able to spend time together
without that hanging over their heads

at least she did get to say good bye to her brother
RIP Uncle Cliff...

so then we had a happy occasion
on Wednesday
celebrating our 9th anniversary
we sat holding hands at dinner
and reminisced...

we are still in love

then Dad's brother landed in the hospital on Friday night
in severe pain
and blood pressure so high
they could not get a reading

I guess I flashed back to Dad
and when he had his stroke
hoping that God was not going to take away
my Uncle Bobby yet

then good news ~ kidney stones
BP under control
he was home and cranky on Saturday
so that is a good thing...

Saturday I shed happy tears
as I watched one of my first babies
say I do to the man that she loves

she was a beautiful bride
and I will dedicate a post to Lisa & Ryan this week

we had a wonderful time

then today I shed tears of sorrow
as I find out a dear friend of mine
is very, very sick

my heart is heavy
and I am too far away to do anything about it
or be there ~ just be there...

so here I am

looking forward to tonight
when I will see one of my best girls
as she is finally home from Japan
for good ~ not just a visit
she arrived on Wed night ~ with her finance
they are getting married in October
so there will be joy amongst the sorrow
again today...

I hope this Sunday
brings you tears of joy

and that the sun shines brightly upon your face
as you greet the day.

Oh Lori goodness you have had a lot of highs and lows. Poor thing! So sorry about your uncle and your friend. I understand that pain...being away and not being able to do anything but pray.

Congrats on the wedding. That's a big deal. Hopefully this week will finally settle down and you can catch your breath a bit.

You are in my thoughts and prayers tonight, Lori. I imagine it would be difficult to process so many happy and sad emotions all at once. I think it will take some time.

Fondly,

Oh Lori...I am so sorry and sad for you on all of the heartache. I truly understand where you are. It must be in the air.

Also smiling with you on every happy thing. Life is such an interesting blend of highs and lows that keeps it bittersweet...always something to remind us to value every moment.

xoxo,

Dear Lori,
I hate to hear that you are having such a sad time at the moment. Although it's what life throws at us, it is so difficult to cope with the loss of a loved one.At least there are some happy wedding times, too.
I wish you and your family a peaceful and healing time and am thinking of you, Lori. Lots of love to you. XXXX
