She's Got Her Wings ~ For the Bumpkin

She found me in April
and we just clicked

with a passion for wildflowers
and shoes
and swings

I thought for sure
that we were sisters from a "another mother"

her comments and emails
made me laugh out loud

and also shed some tears

she told me that
"I got her"
and I did....

we talked about the gulf
about her beach
and I told her about mine

I could put myself in her shoes
maybe that's when we solidified our bond

I did a little post for her here
but at that time I did not know how bad things were

then on Sunday morning I get an email
call me re: Lisa
from her bestie

I was not prepared at all
for what Trish had to say
I cried and cried

then the message yesterday
she's gone...

So I waited until today
to pour it all out

I wanted to wait
until Trish was able to
send out the news
and sadly update Lisa's blog too.

I know that God has a reason for everything
although in times like this you can't help but ask why?

so young ~ too soon

Even though she was only in my life for a short time
she was there for a reason
to lift me up ~ to be there for each other
I will remember her always...

Will miss you Bumpkin

Fly ~ Fly ~ Fly

Lots of Love,

love you.

Sweet Lori,
I am so sorry that you have lost someone whom you connected so closely with. What a blessing to have had her in your life, if only for a short while. She will live on through you and the other friends that she touched. I will be thinking of you~
Much love,

Sat here and bawled my head off all day. Looking at emails she sent me and the last one that said in the subject header - Never Give Up.

Going to cry some more. *hugs from me to you*.

Terribly sorry to hear that someone so special to you is gone. Seems the blogging world has lost one of its own.

This is a beautiful post. I connected with our Bumpkin in April too, and blogging went to a whole new level - in a fun way. What a treasure she was. I did a post too, and I'm a new follower. She was so great at bringing folks together. I feel the need to continue these meaningful connections.
Hugs to you,

Thanks for your kind comment left on my blog. Through Lisa I have found another friend. I think she would have wanted it this way.

This was an event that stunned me! I absolutely couldn't believe it. I had missed her postings but thought she & the captain might be on vacation, or doing something fun. I had to re-read Trish's words. We all felt this way.
A lovely tribute to our precious girlfriend, Lisa. Thank you.
