Tagged ~ Five Years

Last week Simone over at
The Bottom of the Ironing Basket
tagged me for a
"Five years" list.

It has taken some thinking
and digging through my memory
but here I go...

Where were you 5 years ago?

Wow ~ looking back not a whole lot has changed in my life.

I am still working the same job, living in the same house.
We would have celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary,
had one furry child Sasha whom we lost the spring of 2006.

We went to Ontario for vacation and made a few stops
along the way.
We spent a night in Quebec City ~ then off to Ottawa
home base was Brampton and then we
took a side trip to Niagara Falls and
Niagara on the Lake.

I was about 40lbs heavier, so I guess that is different.

It was a fantastic vacation
as we did a lot together
and I got to see some things I have seen many time
through Trevor's eyes as it was his first time
to place like the falls
and Canada's Wonderland.

Where would you like to be 5 years from now?

I would like to be happy and healthy
which includes being at a healthy weight

Still married to the same man

Believe in myself more

and be content with where I am ~

life is too short for regrets....

What's on your to-do list today?

Work ~ then after work comes the fun stuff:
mail the parcel I have been trying to get done since the week-end
go for a walk
put away laundry
& relax til bedtime

What 5 snacks do you enjoy?
~ Milk chocolate in almost any form
I am not fussy when it comes to chocolate!
~ Fresh bread with a good dip
~ Buttered popcorn mini rice cakes
~ Ice cream
~ Cheese - I love it and all it's fatty goodness

What would you do if you were a Billionaire?
Where do I start with this one ~ really?

~ Build my dream house here

~ Build another dream house somewhere warm

~ Make sure my family ~ including extended family are comfortable
~ Travel!

~ Give to charity and our church

and most of all ~ this is something I have been dreaming of....
it's a lottery dream really

Fly in all the girls from my internet group

we will stay at The Plaza Hotel

in New York City

drink wine, eat fabulous food and
catch up!

This is a dream that I hope someday will come true...

So now I tag the following
as I would love to see their answers

& LouBoo

Happy Tuesday!!

Lori, It's so fun to get to know you better.
When you were listing your vacation cities, my heart went pitter-patter. My husband and I go to Niagria-On-The-Lake every September for their wine weekends. Oh I LOVE that town and it's wonderful people. I could live there!

And kudos to you for your weight loss!!!! I am trying to loose a chunk of weight myself. I know the hard work that goes into loosing 40 pounds. Yea for you!

Can you imagine my surprise when I saw MY name being tagged. Ohhhhh, what fun!

I'll post this later this week.
Thanks so much!

What a fun award! Now I am going to have to do some thinking on this one! Thank you so much for including me! You are always so sweet! Still want to see the rest of your dining room with your new chair cushions! I'm dying to see it actually! I have been thinking nonstop about those since you posted them!

Dear Lori,
Lovely hearing about your past 5 years. ....and you have lost SO much weight. I am so impressed. You have done so well.
By the way, you asked me what plant that was outside the florist in Hertford. It's actually an hydrangea. XXXX

Hi Lori - I think it's a great thing to want to be braver! I am so with you ; life feels scary sometimes and I do think I should face up abit more. I like to skulk at the sidelines! I loved this post and thanks so much for the mention at the end! I would have been delighted to respond, but I was tagged with this one a little while back. I am not sure I would be able to give any different answers. But I am really touched you thought of me :-)

Can we be roomies at The Plaza? I'm there, bring your fanciest jammies, lots of coffee, and let's be sure to have a balcony.
I will do this one asap, may have to send you a side note as well.
See those sunshine kisses heading your way?
