Make Me Smile

I had lots to smile about this week-end
and that makes me happy

going into Friday I said I needed
a day for cleaning
a day for errands
and a day for me

Saturday was cleaning day
I loaded up the cd player and danced around the main floor

the songs made me smile
brought back memories of times gone by
with friends I do not see as often as I would like anymore
considering as single girls ~ we were together every Saturday night

so one of the things on my to do list for March
book a dinner date with said girls.....

I treated myself with a bubble bath that night
and finished another book
then Trev & I curled up on the couch
and caught up on some recorded tv

I know ~ don't be jealous ~ it was a rockin Saturday night!

Sunday was errands day
I went over to Mom's with some groceries
and made her some meals as the poor thing has been eating
out of the microwave most days

she will have to heat these up too
but at least they will be home made

I can see her getting stronger every day
her voice is stronger ~ sounding more like herself
big smiles for that one!

  today is my "me" day
I may stay in my jammies all day long

I may do some organizing

I may sit on the couch with my laptop and watch tv all day

I may decide to get dressed and go out

I should probably make that decision soon
but if I don't ~ that's ok
because today will be guilt free

Hope you do something today to make you smile
I am going to pour another cup of coffee!

xo

Oh Lori, it sounds lovely. I do think that days spent in pyjamas are some of the best. Does that make me slovenly?! I don't care. I wanted to stop by to say thank you for the lovely comments you've been leaving me. Always a little drop of Lori wisdom or encouragement. I do really appreciate it, so thank you xxx. Enjoy your chilling out time, Lou x
