Make Me Happy

It's Monday

and I have the day off

so that makes me happy

I bought tulips on Saturday
and they are sitting in my kitchen

so that makes me happy

there is a crocus up
and ready to bloom

my tulips have popped up to say hello

and amid the ruins of last years beauty
there is a promise of something to come
on my silver mound

and that my friends
puts a huge smile on my face

alas what makes me happiest today
is we booked our trip on Saturday

so in less than a month
I will be basking in the sunshine
at an all inclusive resort
for 7 glorious days
with my boy

Varedero ~ here we come!

the sitter is booked
for the four legged kids

I have started making my list
of what to pack

need to book my pedicure
hope to get that done today!

I was shocked at the news on Wednesday

we lost a true Hollywood legend

R.I.P

tonight we are booking our trip

so I will let you know where we are going

the first of the week

but there is good news too

it's Spring!!

we had a great week-end

got some much needed organizing done on Saturday

a few drinks with friends that night

then on Sunday

we went to the Home Show

looked at flooring

and windows

and doors

and stairs ~ railings

you know

fun stuff!

we are getting some quotes

and I hope to have some pictures to share soon

I finished my book

and started another

and on Sunday night

we had our first BBQ'd steak

of the season

it was wonderful.
