Friday Potpourri

Woohoo Friday
thank you for showing up!

I know I seem to go on and on each week
about how happy Friday has arrived
I am not wishing my life away ~ no
just loving 2 days off

via
so as I sit on the deck with my morning coffee
I wonder what the week-end will hold

although I love events and plans
I do adore the week-ends with nothing on the agenda
we are footloose and fancy free

via

via
I did think about the cottage ~ but we will wait a week

via

I am thinking maybe a pool day ~ or head out to the shore
and have a beach day

I do know that I will be reading ~ that is a given
as I am on the 2nd book of the 50 Shades trilogy

and I will be watching the opening ceremonies tonight
as the world watches London

whatever you do this week-end ~ I hope you do it with a smile

have a good one!

Oh Lori,
I am SO excited ...... I can't tell you how much !!
I have been watching the tele all morning as the torch has sailed up the Thames on the beautiful Royal boat called the Gloriana , to the Tower of London from where it will be taken to the Stadium to light the cauldren to start the Games. We don't know who will light it yet ..... itt's a closely guarded secret !!
The Opening Ceremony is supposed to be spectacular, spine-tingling, dark, quirky and very British so, I can't wait. I know that Simone and her family will be just as excited as we are too !!
I hope that you enjoy it. We will sit down at 7.00 p.m. for the build up to when it starts at 9.00pm with wine, food and a box of tissues !! I've already cried at the torch relay and the sneak preview of the Opening Ceremony !!!!
Have a wonderful weekend. XXXX

Weekends are always a relief - just to know that you don't "have" to do anything, that you get to choose every single moment - That's why I love them so much!

I'm going to finish my skirt, cut out a 2nd one, do some reading, probably some weeding (poor neglected gardens) and cuddle with my sweetie.

Enjoy yours!

I watched the Opening Ceremonies and thought it was fantastic and it even brought a tear or two to my eyes. I hope your weekend was wonderful. We had a nice lazy weekend ourselves and let me tell you, it was much needed! Have a wonderful week ahead, my friend. Love, hugs and sunshine to you! xxoo
