I have been challenged by the wonderful Simone over at
The Bottom of the Ironing Basket to join in on
Day 1 is your life in 250 words
I was born in Toronto, Ontario
and we moved east to New Brunswick when I was 3
I am the oldest of 2 ~ there are 4 years between my brother and I
I grew up about 2 miles outside the city limits
but it was more like living in the country
with a dash of the city thrown in for good measure
we spent most weekends at my grandparents farm
and also lots of time camping in the summertime
I always had an easy time making friends
and treasure these friendships still today
we were always in a group of friends
swimming, playing games or putting on shows for our parents
singing and dancing
music has always been a huge part of my life
I cannot imagine a day without it
I met my husband in high school
but we did not get together romantically until 1999
he was already in my life ~ good friends
until something clicked with us both
and love grew
he is the one that makes my heart happy
although we tried for a family
it was not in the cards for us
so our children wear fur coats and walk on 4 legs
these days I spend my time watching too much tv
I love reading and writing
creating and gardening
connecting with friends and trying new recipes
I started this little blog 4 years ago
and it has filled my life and my heart with joy
as always ~ I thank you for stopping by....

Lori, you did such a great job with this post. Is it really only 250 words? I feel like you packed such wonderful details in there. And I can't decide which photo I like the best. The one with the doggy is SO precious!

Adorable photos, Lori!! You packed alot of your life into those 250 words..I loved reading it. I think I may join these challenges too - sounds fun! xxoo
I LOVE that you are doing this along with me, thank you!!!!!
This was a great read Lori & I loved what you said about your fur babies :)
Lovely photos too Xx
I love getting to know the faces behind the blogs, Lori, and I so enjoyed getting to know you better. You had a wonderful childhood, something I would have dreamed of! I know how you met your husband from a previous post and I think it's so great that you had a friendship first...so did me and my hubby.
Keep up the great writing, you are a talent!
XO,
Jane
