For the Girl on the Swing ~ One Year Later

Today I will remember

a soul sister that was taken from us too soon

she and I clicked

we shared stories

some laughs

and some tears

she loved swings

wildflowers

her beach

fashion

and most of all

her Captain

for those of you who knew her

know what I mean

when she passed 

there was a huge hole left behind

some days she passes through my mind

like the soft touch of a butterfly

saying ~ I am here

so this is a tribute post

for Lisa

angry that we never got to meet in person
as we had plans ~ oh yes we did!

I hope you are swinging on girlfriend

I will never ever forget you

to commemorate this first anniversary

She's Got Her Wings ~ For the Bumpkin

She found me in April
and we just clicked

with a passion for wildflowers
and shoes
and swings

I thought for sure
that we were sisters from a "another mother"

her comments and emails
made me laugh out loud

and also shed some tears

she told me that
"I got her"
and I did....

we talked about the gulf
about her beach
and I told her about mine

I could put myself in her shoes
maybe that's when we solidified our bond

I did a little post for her here
but at that time I did not know how bad things were


then on Sunday morning I get an email
call me re: Lisa
from her bestie

I was not prepared at all
for what Trish had to say
I cried and cried

then the message yesterday
she's gone...

So I waited until today
to pour it all out

I wanted to wait
until Trish was able to
send out the news
and sadly update Lisa's blog too.

I know that God has a reason for everything
although in times like this you can't help but ask why?

so young ~ too soon

Even though she was only in my life for a short time
she was there for a reason
to lift me up ~ to be there for each other
I will remember her always...

For the Girl on the Swing

One of my best girls
is not feeling the best

so I have decided
to do a special post for her

one of her favorite things
is wildflowers

so this one sweet girl

is for you!

she also loves her swing
and her beach ~ so this shot was perfect!

it is a long week-end here
as Monday is New Brunswick Day


we have a party to attend tonight
then tomorrow we are heading to the cottage
for a couple little projects
and some R&R

and received an award
plus I have another farm post
to complete my series
