On the 8th day of the blogging challenge
is to share a piece of advice
now I am not an expert by any means
but I will share 10 things I know for sure
Do it with love
whether it is your job or a hobby
just go ahead and put your whole heart into it
Choose your battles
does the way the toilet paper goes on the roller really matter
especially when you can flip it around later
maybe the family reunion is a better one to discuss at length
Never go to bed angry
it gives you a fresh start in the morning
Always follow the recipe the first time
especially when you are baking!
Everything is better with music
when I am cleaning ~ I need music blasting
and I need to know every word to every song
so plug in your MP3 or your favourite CD
and grab your duster!
Alone time refuels your soul
some people love solitude ~ others cannot stand it
stop and listen and just be
you will feel refreshed after
Long distance phone conversations and cards in the mail
are still the best
put down the electronics and pick up a pen
write out a card and actually mail it
talking on the phone to someone you love
and have not seen in it seems like forever fills your heart
Once in awhile ~ act like a child
now don't throw a tantrum in the middle of the grocery store
spread a blanket out on the lawn and look at the clouds
find the shapes like you did when you are young
Smile each and every day
even in your darkest times ~ if you are having a stressful day
find something ~ a picture or a memory
to bring a smile to your face
Don't stress the small stuff
this kind of goes hand in hand with choose your battles
but a lot of people get caught up in the little things
especially when planning something
I know it is the little touches that make it special ~ right
but if you don't do one of them ~ will anyone notice?
think about it...

Beautiful advice, Lori! I try my best to do each one of these things! Have the most fabulous day, my friend! xxoo
Love all of these.
I'm terrible with the "Choose Your Battles" one, and need to work on that a bit more.
And I've learnt the hardway with some momentus disasters on the baking front!!
Happy Wednesday.
Good ones. We do this lazy thing in our house where the roll sits on top of the used paperless roll. So trust me I'd be happy either way the paper rolled out;)
Such practical and happy advice.
Fondly,
Glenda
