This time of the year I am usually complaining about
how much snow we have
and how I am tired of winter
truth is this year winter has been a weird season
it was 15 C here today
and snow ~ compared to last year we hardly
have any on the ground

of course this does not mean that I enjoy the winter months
if they were all 15 degrees and sunny
I may have a better relationship with my most dreaded season

weekends are still for nesting and organizing
little projects are getting done
soup making and sweet baking
cozy time on the couch

I finished one book and started another
there is a stack of magazines on my coffee table
and I have finally caught up on my blog reading
forgive me if I haven't been around to comment

last weekend was game night with #thebestneighboursever
we always have so much fun
some adult beverages ~ great food
and the best company

can you believe March is next week
time is flying and I feel like I am sitting on the couch
watching it race past
I know I have to make some changes
and take action sooner than later
this weekend I hope to spend some time with my Mama
maybe a trip to the market
unless of course I choose to stay home in my jammies
over that 2nd or 3rd cup of coffee
no solid plans or promises
and that suits me just fine

I've been slow getting around, too. Just getting a post out means I have to be very disciplined.
Winter is very much the same for me. I enjoy the good things about it---a good fire going, warm soups and stews, time catching up on reading. But ONLY for so long! Then again, now that I'm getting older, I really want time to slow down so I try not to rush the seasons.

It's lovely that you've had a mild winter so far but the climate change that we are all experiencing is a little worrying to the planet, isn't it Lori ? { as Leonardo di Caprio said in his Oscar acceptance speech !!!! }
