Vacation Time & A Giveaway!!

How excited am I...

we have been waiting for these two weeks to get here
all summer long


alas ~ I was trying not to wish too hard
as I knew once vacation was here
would mean the summer was also over


these two weeks
would not be my first pick
but when vacation is picked by seniority
you do not have your pick of weeks


so we will make the best of the time
as the days are still wonderfully warm
even if the nights are cooler...

perfect for a bonfire on the beach!

I plan on doing a lot of this
I have books stacked up
ready to go.

Of course we will be heading to the cottage

the driveway is done
the gravel is down
they hydro seeded it all
and it looks wonderful!

We have some work to do
a footing to replace and a new deck to put on
but I plan on having lots of down time too...

so I figured why I was away
and unplugged
